Learn how to Make Membership a 'Must' for X and Y

Earlier this month, XYZ University launched as the first social network and learning destination to help associations attract younger members, volunteers, and executives. I am pleased to announce the new site is rapidly gaining momentum with associations nationwide.

Special thanks to Jim Abbott, vice president of the Associated Builders and Contractors’ Massachusetts Chapter, for hosting our inaugural webinar, Beyond the Boom.

Please join us for yet another great learning opportunity--a complimentary webinar, 30 Ways to Make Membership a Must for X and Y--on June 16. Click here to register!

Kristofer Johnson, president of the St. Paul Chamber of Commerce, will present this webinar on successful membership retention strategies. As one of the youngest chamber of commerce executives in the country, Kristofer has an impressive track record of membership retention, significantly boosting a chamber’s membership and tripling its revenue!

Undoubtedly, Generations X and Y are renowned for being elusive and demanding. Top their ‘what’s in it for me’ demands off with an economic slump and most membership associations are finding themselves headed towards disaster.

So in addition to the '30 Ways to Make Membership a Must' webinar, XYZ University is launching the Next Generation Association webinar series.

This two-part webinar series, comprised of six interactive sessions, is designed to address the specific challenges associations face when it comes to recruiting and retaining Generations X and Y. Each one-hour session will provide useful solutions or tools and allow time for Q&A.

As a result of participating in this Next Generation Association Series you will learn:

  • What Generations X and Y want, need, and expect from your association;
  • How your association can bring value to younger members and engage them;
  • How to manage and motivate young employees and volunteers;
  • How to create an association that is more competitive, relevant, and successful; and
  • The value of succession planning through collaboration, innovation, and goal-setting.

Part 1 of the series takes place June 4, 11, and 18, 12:00-1:00 central time. Part 2 takes place September 3, 10, and 17. Register for one webinar or register for all six. Can't make all the webinars? No problem! MP3s of each session are available within 24 hours for registered participants. Click here to learn more!

XYZ University exists to help associations engage Generations X, Y, and Z -- the next generation of executives, members, and volunteers. Here's how to get involved:

XYZ University features case studies from associations that are bridging the gap, social networking, ample Webinars and access to training, leadership development and coaching packages, and strategic growth plans.

We look forward to hearing from you and helping your association plan for its future!
